When i have been watching TV lately, I've been noticing a lot more in the commercials for this project. It seems to me that producers are trying way to hard to make their Ads stand out. Some commercials are really funny but the majority of them are really stupid and annoying. A lot of commercials are very unoriginal too. A commercial for a restaurant just completely copied off of the Dos Equis commercial and the slogan for the commercial was "stay hungry my friends." That commercial mad me angry just because of the lack of originality in it. The only commercials I actually pay attention to are the funny ones.

Demystifying Multiculturalism

In this short story the writer, Linda Chavez, is describing how the American culture isn't the same as it used to be. This is because many other cultures are swarming into America since we are a free country. Most nations, especially in 3rd world cultures, want to move to America and for the most part they become illegal immagrants. Chavez even thought that the white people might eventually loose their name as the dominate culture.

What I thought about proofreading activity.

I really liked that we split up in to pairs and read each others out loud so we could try to correct our own mistakes before our partner had a chance to. Something I thought could have been different was I wish we would have made it more of a group activity rather than just two people. It worked out good though because I got a few good ideas from my partner that I think will help me on my final draft.

Me Talk Pretty. Writing Assignment

I have had many experiences where learning something new can be scary. One specific experience was when I was young and had to learn to shoot a gun. I was only seven years old and had to use a 20 gage for my first gun, and if anyones ever used a gun, a 20 gage has a pretty strong kick for a seven year old. Although I was very fearful of getting hurt from the kick back of the powerful gun, I decided it was something I eventually needed to do, so I did it. I did not regret it because although it hurt a little bit, I was able to go hunting with my dad, which was always a fun time.
